Adobe this week released Flash Player 10 beta 1, a first glimpse of its nearly ubiquitous plugin for browsers, and video playback flash. Version 10 player, code named “Astro” brings custom filters and effects, 3D effects and a new text with engine components. More importantly, however, is bringing a big improvement in performance for Mac users: “If you followed GUIMark notice that this version of the player has a substantially better performance in OS X than in any previous version of the player.
